I began using my new A7ii two days ago so I am still early in the learning process. I used micro 4/3 several years ago and switched to a Leica M8.2 about three years ago. I inherited that M8.2 from my father along with a bunch of lenses. About a month ago I realized that I NEVER used several of those lenses (mostly the very wide angles and a few duplicate focal lengths) so I sold them to fund my A7ii. I have been dabbling in photography for over 40 years. I learned from my first boss, a former WWII army photographer when I worked in a photo lab in college. My first camera was a $20 pawn shop 4X5 Speed Graphic. I have posted on the Mu-43 and the LeicaPlace forums before (and learned much at each). I look forward to growing even more here. My first name is Bert. Chalkdust is a reference to my many years of teaching high school, one of my several careers.
