This Hi-Res subforum is the place to share images which you want to share large (>1600px greatest dimension).

    Here's how you do it:

    Step 1: Host off site.

Images uploaded directly to our forum will be automatically reduced in size to 1300px, so if you want an image to display large, you have to host off site (eg, Flickr, Smugmug, Zenfolio, 500px, Picasaweb, etc)

Step 2: Find out the URL for your large image.

Find a web page where your image is displaying large on your hosting site. Right click (Ctrl click on Mac) on the image, and select "Copy image URL" or "Copy image location". Most of the time, the URL will start with "http" and end with ".jpg".

Test whether your URL works by pasting it into the address bar of your web browser and pushing "Enter". If your image displays at the desired size, then you have the correct URL (location) for that image.

Step 3: Paste that URL into your post surrounded by IMG tags.

The exact way to find your full-size image URL will vary according to your hosting site and internet browser of choice. For example, with Flickr you can ignore steps 1-3 above and just copy/paste the BBcode Flickr provides for sharing at your desired size.

Please share your tips in this thread.
