    Guys,

Need some advice. Received this yesterday and don't know how much should I ask.
I could ask him how much he's ready to pay but frankly speaking I have no clue.
There is no real commercial use of it.

    Any advice is welcome.

    Thanks

    I found your photo : https://flic.kr/p/y3uiUN

Would I be able to use this for my website? I gather Qatar real estate data and want to create a report and send this to people interested in the data. At the moment I have about 15 people on the mailinglist, every week I get 1 or 2 added to the list. By the end of the year I hope to have about 100 on.

I don't mind paying some money for your photo, but the budget is not big.

If you want paying, what would your price be?

    One million dollars!

No, seriously... I wish I could help. But I've never been asked to sell any of my photos, so I have no clue. :hmmm:

Just out of the blue, I'd say € 150 for non-exclusive use.

A local pro photog charges between $200-290 per image unlimited use licensing. HTH.

    I'd also think €100 is a realistic price :)

    Depends...
    1. What resolution is required for the file to be displayed in the website? The higher the resolution, the higher the price.
    2. What type of licensing is involved? Limited or unlimited? You can specify that the image is to be used only for website display, no printing allowed. Hence the resolution part.
    3. Someone above already provided some figures about what local pros charge. Do a little research too.
To me, 100 or 150 Euros sounds cheap, as the image will be used in a real estate report about the country, to be sent potentially to 100 clients or more.

Good points here. Thanks. Since it's my first sale I don't want to ask too much. The guys is not supposed to know that anyway. Will search a bit more.

Yeah, that's what was in my head too. But I'm not as good at finding clips on the Internet as you are. :p

If it's just going to be used on a mailing list, $100 USD seems reasonable. Just stipulate the licensing agreement and terms of usage.
