How interesting...

    I always complained about 18-55 being a dog. At least it was on my F3. Soft, kind of washed out, unimpressive even when stopped down. All of my other E-mount lenses performed great, so I knew the AF on camera was functioning correctly.

    I just tried the same lens on Nex 6 and there's a huge difference, at least in Jpegs (my desktop is waiting for a new power supply so I can't check raw files).

    Either 6 is applying some superb processing algorithms to this lens, or the tolerances stacked the right way this time. :)

    Yep... having just looked at these images in LR, I'd say RAW files look may be a tad better than on F3, so Nex 6 must do something different (better) with JPEGs. Not a biggie, though - I use my Minolta zoom almost exclusively.
