Only problem with self portraits is you aren't looking at the camera and can't tell when you have a tree limb coming out of the top of your head :p

During a 'photo-walk' last week, I spotted an antique mirror in a shopfront window and thought it might be an interesting composition for a self-portrait shot - seeing as I had my 'antique' lens on.

Here's me thinking I was being clever only to realize (once I got home) that there's a flower reflection right up my crotch, duh!
I'd sooner have a branch sticking out of my head, lol!

Looks like I have on shirt and pants, and there's a hideous face in there too

Couldn't resist taking this one...

So... If you take a photo at a slow shutter speed, then go to take a self portrait, it helps to either

  1. Remember to change the settings back to normal
  2. Stand very still

And if you don't remember to do either, you end up with something like this...

Excellent use of HDR Freddy... beautiful composition! I can't see much of your face though, but I think you also captured your wife walking up the stairs. :)

For some reason I missed this one DB... haha nice one!

Although, I think I like it better when a tree branch was growing out of your head, instead of this waterfall growing one of you...
