    NEX-7 + Canon FD 28-85/4.0 Macro

I've seen the occasional comment in an article or thread, that the two FD zooms Canon made decades ago with very large 72mm objective lens elements...FD28-85 and FD35-105...produced IQ with "L" like quality.
I am not / never will be a "pixel peeper"...and don't consider myself qualified to confirm it one way of another...but I can say I have had nothing but outstanding results with them so far. And while some make across the board statements that "a 3.5 or 4.0 lens is too slow"...as far as I'm concerned with outdoor / nature photography, it's a moot point when I'm shooting stopped down to 11 / 16 / 22....and IQ / color rendition like this one are 100% satisfactory to me.
