HELP-- SEL 18-55 dismantling guide-fungus on front element

    Hello guys/gals , my sony sel 18-55 mm lens has got fungus in the front element ,i took it to sony service but they said they dont perform fungus cleaning, Iam in India ,if anybody has any guide please let me the Link !!! help appreciated!!

    No help unfortunately but its the first time I've heard/read a Sony E-mount lens develop fungus...
    Maybe take it to an indepentent photography shop for cleaning as an alternative?

    yeah ,i will take it to my lens cleaning guy!!!
    Though I have found a video in german in youtube

    Fungus doesn't like dry air and direct sunlight.

    Perhaps stuff it in a Corningware type pan with a glass lid with a bunch of desiccant packets inside, and put out in the sun for a week ?

    Good idea, except raay's in India. Good luck find "dry air" there! ;)

    That's where a closed glass lid container and a bunch of desiccant packets come on play.
