HDR Effect

    On my screen there is virtually no difference although the origianl seems to have very slightly more contrast which I prefer, but, really it's an academic difference to me. The edited version has some slight cloud detail which is nice,...but not worth all the HDR hassle surely?

    I am agree with Bugleone but would add that I like the could detail in the second one but not at the expense of the statue which is the focus of the picture.

    Dave, is this HDR Effect as in NIK HDR Efex?

    It certainly does a good job of retrieving detail in the sky though it also seems to have added a cooler overall look. I think I'm with jebuskrust though. With a RAW file you could probably retrieve the sky just as well in LR.
