A heavy sky cover moved in this evening, obscuring everything except a few of the brighter stars shining through the gaps. I decided to try the Vivitar 100-200mm on the Moon. First pic is 200mm without the 2x teleconverter, 2nd pic is 200mm with the teleconverter. These are 50% crops. I noticed it takes a while for even my heavy tripod to quit shaking from the slightest bump due to the length and weight of the lens. I only had the 2 second timer engaged . . . probably could have used 10 seconds.
