Has anyone had shots compromised by the front curtain electronic shutter?

I read up on the front curtain shutter here: Electronic Front Curtain Shutters and the theoretical downside that if you use a high shutter speed with a lens full open (i.e. a lot of light coming in that needs to read out REALLY quickly) that ghosting can occur.

Has anyone actually experienced this, to the point where you had to switch back to mechanical first shutter??

    No.
Not even on my Nikon 1 J1 which I've shot at 1/13,000 shutter speed....

    Hi RT,

So, have you been shooting NEX then at high shutter speeds with wide open lenses without issue? I think the J1 could have a different outcome, given the big differences in sensor size and aperture sizes.

My FCS has always been set to "on". No issues yet thus far with my SEL50F18....
