Henry Ford did his very best to relocate and preserve America's past in order for the future generations to see. He captured Items and entire houses of famous American's and relocated them to one location (Greenfield Village) that serves as an outdoor museum.

(I tried to go a little HDR-ish with my editing, sorry if it bothers you)

    Greenfield Village-1.

    Greenfield-8.

This is Thomas Edison's home where the first electric (DC) motor was installed and lit up the first light-bulb.
    Edison.

Edison was very popular and many came to work for him. Most great Inventions attributed to him came from Menlo Park. Relocated to Greenfield Village from New Jersey

    HF Factory 3 (2). HF Factory 4.

This is where his pupils stayed.

    Hostel.
    Hostel-1.

Webser was the first American Hipster who wanted to create an American language different from the British. So he spent his life travelling the US and jotting down all the words used by American's which varied by State and compiling the first Webster's Dictionary!

    This is his house...

    Websters House.
    Websters Library.
    Websters Shoes.

    Very cool.

I noticed the pipe organ in the back of Edison's lab. I never noticed this before in the pictures I have seen of the lab. Curious, I looked it up. Apparently they would take breaks and enjoy a little playing and singing. I learned something today.

Yes, great series, Joseph. And I think the HDR processing enhances the images, and doesn't draw attention to itself.

Thank you for sharing these Joseph. I recently read a biography of the Ford men and it dealt with Greenfield Village and Henry the first's obsession with building it. Very cool to see such nice pictures of the place.

Very nice series, looks like a great place to visit. I think you did very well on the processing, the high-contrast scenes surely will have benefitted from it.
