Nice shots, s_s. Your copy of that lens looks a whole lot sharper and more contrasty than the one I had.
Thanks! Mine is definitely decently sharp (at least in the center), especially stopped down and peaks at f11. Wide open, it washes out more for sure, but a little contrast tweaking in LR deals with that (I saved my typical tweaks for this lens as a preset I just apply across the board with it now), unless I’m looking for that look in a shot.

Was this a night time shot?
Reason I ask is the lighting on the house seems wrong if that is actually the sun we're looking at.
Great shot either way.
It was night, yes - that was the full supermoon! So much light that night, and with the icing on all of the branches even the trees were throwing light around.

Man - you get the nicest focus on this! I can never nail the focus on mine as I know it goes a little past infinity :(. Maybe i'll try tonight and tomorrow night with the a6500!

It was a little bit breezy so the flowers were moving some.

Today's tour of the garden is with a lens I haven't used very much. I should use it more as it is one of the reasons I got into Sony full frame cameras. But you'll have to cruise thru all the flowers first. NO amaryllis in this post either!

EDIT: OK OK, after underwhelming demand by the masses here, I'll put in an amaryllis picture.

One more from Canyon Lake, last one I promise. ;) A full width landscape image-stitched pano from the A7II and a Tokina-made Soligor 21mm f/3.8. I had stitching errors and anomalies with Microsoft ICE which prevented a final panorama, until I came up with a workable solution. Estimate it's close to a 16mm FOV.
