So do I Will, although I'm not entirely sure it's correct for the lens. It's just an old collapsible rubber hood I've had for a long time that happens to fit my Nikon lenses. I just took a look at it and it's a Nikon HR-4 hood.
That shot was taken pretty much looking into the sun. I have a UV filter on there too, so I'm sure that contributes too.

Ah, I see. I am a firm user of hoods as I believe they help. I have a generic rubber collapsible and a Takumar 49mm threaded hood from the 135mm f/3.5 that's perfectly sized.
I suspect as well, the UV filter produced the unique flares.

Three for today. As I am mounting an SLR lens I decided that I would process these to emulate film prints. A7II & Minolta MD Tele Rokkor 2.8/200.

Nature is not always pretty. I don't know what happened to this yearling. There haven't been any news reports of large predators (bear, wolf, cougar) in this area and the smaller ones we do have, fox and coyote, couldn't have done this damage. My prime suspect is dogs. There is nothing but a normal chain link fence closing off the nature center and that is no barrier at all to the deer. You see them roaming the neighborhood almost daily. This young thing just got unlucky enough to be in the wrong yard at the wrong time.

Stop, you're too close! A strange problem to have, I know. Perhaps I have been to the nature center too often and the deer are becoming used to my presence. They are coming increasingly closer until today a couple came inside the minimum focus distance of the Rokkor 2.8/200. This is not a petting zoo type of operation. People are not allowed to feed these animals. All of these shots are straight from camera JPG.
