    Thanks for the kind comments.
Me either. Only after getting a field macro lens, and trying it on various things made me found out bout it :)
Here are some shots i took next day in better light and with tripod, seems every drop have a different pattern inside:
    laea4minolta100f5,6. laea4minolta100f8_1. laea4minolta100f11xx. laea4minolta100f11. laea4minolta100f8. laea4minolta100f5.6.
Those were shot on pine and are slightly different from those on beech. laea4minolta100f4_2. laea4minolta100f4_1. laea4minolta100f4.

Just curious, are you using autofocus in these? Beautiful pictures!

Thanks. No AF, lens is set on 1:1 and i lean back-forward to get desired focus.

I've revisited the spot when meltdown started, and noticed some kind of ?eggs? on pine. Those are focus stacks:

DSC00249.JPG DSC00249.JPG Inspired by the beauty/creativity of the original poster, JMM, I noticed some ice/melt today- what was really cool was the background that was visible behind the ice droplet... I flipped the picture to make it easier to see.. a6000 w/sel24-240, handheld...

I'd send that droplet back. There's some bad CA in it. :shakehead:
