OK, I've determined after some research on this lens that in its basic form it is an A-mount, thus you have added the E-mount adapter. That's all good, but considering the length of the long end of the range (300/450mm), the lack of the tripod mount for the adapter could be an issue (especially since the lens appears to have no optical stabilization). Can one of these tripod mounts be acquired for the adapter at minimal cost? I notice that the adapter is no longer in production.

The adapter LA-EA1 has been replaced by his full-frame conterpart, the LA-EA3.
For tripod use, the buyer would have to buy another adapter, this is why I provide the adapter for only 40$ more.
For fast AF, I recommand using the LA-EA2 or LA-EA4 with this lens.
I was actually more using the LA-EA1 with Minolta 50 and 100mm macro lenses, the adapter allows aperture control, and the manual focus is very easy on these macro lenses.
