I'm really enjoying this lens. (Hope you aren't tired of hearing that.)

and on the OTHER side of the yard things aren't progressing nearly as fast...

I'm really at a loss as to why this is. Last year this side of the yard, along the fence, seemed to be faster/earlier growing than next to the house.

I think we're on the verge of an explosion of sorts...

And now, some more flower shots from the garden at random. I have to admit, this 24-105 lens has made a lazy photographer out of me.
Is that a good thing?

All are straight out of the camera except for cropping.
Thanks for looking.

Beautiful, I've never seen them growing outside. Here, they come in "kits" with a pot and we grow them on the window sill.
I really can't imagine these being grown in a pot. They are big plants. I know we don't have any window sills that would hold a pot big enough to hold one of these plants.

Yes: my experience as an ex-Londoner too. IIRC, though, once the flowering finished indoors, some people planted them out in the garden.

I'd never seen these grown without being in a pot, lol.

You can get very large pots/planters at any greenhouse around here, but my wife does not use a particularly large one. We sometimes have to stake them (in the pot) when blooming. When done and it warms up enough, she puts them out on the deck for the summer.

No pots here...we do have an abundance of bulbs.

They really start fighting to get enough room.

And just to show us how appreciative it was of being transplanted out of a pot earlier this year, this rose has decided it likes its new home.
