Friend just had his car painted flat blat.
Factory flat black???
Nice car but I hate that new flat/matt paintwork trend...nothing beats a bright shinny paintwork IMHO
Im kind of torn on the subject. There are days where I think it is really neat, then there are days when I don't like it at all.
I'm also rather ambivalent about it. Looks cool on some cars, not so much on others. You could say the same thing about metallic, or pearl, or candy…
It is all about execution. Do it right and just about anything can be cool. Do it wrong and even the best mod can look bad.
the 1st image appears to be rather noisy in the car panels.
I think that's the (matt) paint - Why would there be noise since shooting in bright daylight ie. not high ISO?
Could be, but I have shot many a matte paint, and it don't look like that, in fact, I have shot it in worse lights.
Could be the fact that maybe its 'cause its slightly out of focus (I mean the door area where the "noise" is present is not the focus point)
could be, could also just be that is how that particular paint is, it looks like camera noise to my eyes, whatever the case might be.
