Well this is my first attempt at star trails.

Light poluttion makes it tougher to get anything worthwhile. On top of that, clouds and airplanes peeked into the frame. In anycase, I learned a lot, so I am pleased with the results. I learned things I could do better and things that just require a more rural environment. I used the A6000, Rokinon 12mm, the Sony time lapse app and Photoshop to combine. Stay tuned... Next time... :)

    Any tips are welcome.

You're pushing the envelope WOK, good stuff !!
If you don't mind a couple questions like:
    Half hour? Hour?
    Single exposure? Multiple exposures?

    Thanks

    Thanks.

This shot was 180 30s exposures @F8 ISO1600. It would have been 240 but cloud cover eliminated about 60.

Wow...that's a good 1.5 - 2 hours minimum...I'm assuming some sort of "intervalometer" or other means of automatically initiating each successive exposure ?

Yes 2hrs. The Sony time lapse app acts as the intervalometer.
