Sony 35mm FE lens firmware update improves manual focus reliability

Thanks for the heads up, Don. I just updated my SEL35F28Z to Ver. 03. Went without a hitch on my 15" MacBook Pro running MacOS 10.11.5.

I don't do much manual focusing with that lens, so unless Sony has added some hidden features, I don't expect to experience any difference with this new firmware.

You're welcome, David. I don't have either of these lenses (yet), so the update doesn't help me, but I'll bet some of the other folks here have one.

Thanks from me too. Updated the FE 2.8/35 via my iMac, a breeze. I see that it still focusses wide-open on the A7R2, irrespective of aperture set and Live View Display setting. MF works but I never noticed a problem earlier on the rare occasions I used it.
