well I hope everyone has had a great time this 4th, we went for a walk at night to enjoy the fireworks but it was a disaster, the place was canceled so they did a very small event, anyway I take my 55-210mm and I made some shots at the big celebration in Manhattan. It was a long distance, we're talking about 5.5 miles.

Not as much of a disaster as what had happened to the fireworks display in San Diego according to our TV News. Apparently there was a computer glitch that triggered all the fireworks at once, so the show was all over in under 15 seconds!!!

I think it worked-out really well in the end, having the Manhattan cityscape to shoot against. It gave the fireworks a better sense of scale and relevance. Real nice!

I love the shots with the skyline - Absolutely fantastic

Is the first shot of the full moon full frame? I haven't been able to come close to that with the 55-210
