We've had some really colourful morning skies of late but I'm usually seeing them on the way home from work. I got up early yesterday as I've wanted to get a shot of the Sydney Harbour bridge at sunrise from Observatory Hill. Typically the day I get to shoot the sky doesn't come to the party. Still happy with this just before dawn shot. Travelled light with just the A7 along with Minolta MD 50 f1.4 and 24 f2.8.

    The old coat hanger.

With the coming of the morning I wandered up into the city to get my morning caffein hit. Went to Martin Place to pay my respects to the victims of this weeks tragedy. There were some beautiful tributes and it was good to see the city was business as usual.

With the heart now started and the day warming to what was a near perfect summer day I headed for a local beach to enjoy the rest of the morning.

Loved the old clipper moored in the harbour. I gave it a bit of a vintage look.

Will be back to the bridge another day to get that golden morning shot.

These shots are fantastic. Love 3,4 and 5. The b&W shot is stunning.

And what a senseless tragedy. Just horrible. My heart goes out to their family and friends.
