    Hi guys,

Just wanted to share some pictures with you that I took with the 16-50mm and extension tubes. It works pretty well, what do you think of them?

Love these! I find it so hard to 'see' a macro shot! I really want to get better at it though.

Thank you very much! I love macro photos!
Here a couple more. I can see that when they're displayed here they loose a bit a quality... :-(

I have a set of cheap tubes that have no electrical connections for focusing. Do yours? Where did you get them?

I dont always drive where others cant. but when I do, its in my Jeep. Stay muddy my friends

    I have these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Auto-Focu...for-Sony-E-mount-NEX-7-A7-A5000-/151211273257

Although the plastic has snapped in the mount of one of them so the fitting is not tight anymore so the contacts are a bit 'iffy'. I need to order a new set really.

    Any E-Mount camera/lens :)
I even have used them with my OM-NEX adaptor with my Zuiko 50mm
It's nice that it's 10+16 as well, so you have the option of 10, 16 or stacked 26. I generally always use them stacked, but occasionally you don't want it quite so macro and more just 'close focus' using the 10 or 16 on their own.

I use extension tubes with electronic connection to keep control over the diaphram and the zoom as this lens is power zoomed, besides, I also keep the AF, but in macro it's better to use MF.
The tubes are from Viltrox. You can have Kenko tubes with electronic connections but they're very expensive (though great quality), almost the price of a lens itself. The Viltrox ones are almost as cheap as tubes without electronic connections but the quality is very good, well built! I bought them 30€ (40$).

    http://www.amazon.fr/Viltrox-Bague-...F8&qid=1400085603&sr=8-2&keywords=viltrox+nex

This is the french amazon web market but i'm sure you can find them in the US as Viltrox is a chinese firm and sending worldwide

By the way, These tubes work for any e-mount system and lens. I didn't try with the SEL 55-210mm or with the SEL 50mm because I don't own them but that should work really well!

Oh I forgot, I use the 16mm tube. I can adapt with the zoom. Generally the 10mm+16mm is too much. The 16mm is perfect!

Yes, you keep control over the lens, the zoom, diaphragm and focus. It's essential to have electronic connections with this lens as it is power zoomed cause otherwise you can't do anything with it.
