Got to process some of my photos from Machu Picchu. These were all shot on my NEX-3N with either the 16-50mm kit, Minolta MD W.Rokkor-X 28mm f/2.8, Minolta Maxxum AF 100-200mm, or Sony 16mm.

Wasn't the best time of day, but it is what it is :)

Thanks! One thing I learned was that my Minolta MD W.Rokkor-X 28mm f/2.8 can be pretty soft when wide open, and I took several with that lens that came out looking a bit too out of focus for me to use. I should have stopped it down for landscapes since I want a large depth of field anyway. My mistake for forgetting to change the aperture between shots. Since I shot mostly in aperture priority, the camera always compensated the exposure so I rarely checked what aperture I had set. Now I know :)

One of the most amazing places in the world specially for an Ancient Alien theory guy like me. :D
    Love your shots my friend.

:D So there are at least two of us that watch that?

Outstanding shots, Ed. Peru would be on top of my list of places to visit overseas, but I doubt I'll ever get there. You are one fortunate guy.

Thanks Ed, I really needed another place to put on my photo bucket list. ;)

These are really nice, expecially the detail shots, which you almost never see any of.

Hey, I also watch Ancient Aliens, so of course I looked for the landing pads at Machu Picchu... discreetly, of course ;-)

Thanks for the comments on my pics! Appreciate it! This was my first time at a real location where I was taking real pictures that I really wanted to come out. Luckily, I took many, many photos (hundreds if not thousands), most of which did not really make the cut (blurred, bad composition, etc). So I learned to shoot as much as possible to make sure you get the shot! Always better to overshoot than undershoot.

If I had unlimited funds, I'd love to do an archaeology tour of Peru and Bolivia: Machu Picchu, Nazca, and Puma Punku, and a few others. I'd have to take a dozen or so SD cards and batteries, of course. :)

After looking at your great images I spent a few hours reading about the last days of the Incas, and the barbaric European invasion. It's an incredibly sad chapter in world history. Had me on the verge of tears.
