Took advantage of a good weather window to catch the start of the foliage season in the nearby Adirondacks this weekend. It did not disappoint!

Shot on the Sony A7Rii with the FE 50mm f1.8 and Nikon Nikkor 24mm f2.8 AF-D.

Wow great shots! Beautiful region! Only visited it once when I lived in NYC.

Do you use your Nikkor in manual mode?
Yup! I switched out some delightful Minolta Rokkor manual lenses I loved for some Nikon AF-D lenses, with the manual aperture ring, so I could shoot them in manual on the A7Rii and in AF on my Nikon D300. I don’t love the manual handling of the Nikons as much as the Minoltas they replaced, but the extra versatility is awesome and the IQ is great.
