Took a walk through the Arboretum today, and got away without jotting down the name of the shrub that had a few clusters of these blooms on it...shrub was as big as a washing machine, etc...and only had a half dozen clusters of these blooms scattered around it...any ideas?

we used to have one out front, had to remove it because it was too big and the roots could have taken out our fresh water pipe

There's one in the yard I enjoy capturing to test lenses. But it's of a single red flower variety. That two-tone one is very eye-catching.
