Experimented with B&W on a Hummingbird today

    Unfortunately I got set up too late in the afternoon so the sun’s angle (from behind me) to the feeder itself was blocked by the top ridge of the roof, yet the background past the feeder was intensely bright…but I salvaged one as a starting / learning point...will try again with better light soon.

    Canon FDn 300/4.0-L, NEX-7, AP Mode, Daylight, Spot Metering, ISO1600, 1/640, F8

    A keeper from the time just before the shade covered the feeder...was only using ISO200, 1/80, F11 or 16
    Much smoother, no 'noise'
