I'm easily impressed and today I was kind of blown away by just how well my camera/lens combo could see. I was out on the pier at Huntington Beach today and took a shot looking south, from the pier. I brought up the picture in my rudimentary processing program and started looking at the shots I'd taken when I came to this one that I remember focusing on the power plant. I moved around to see what else the camera caught and was surprised when I could make out the Newport Beach pier some 5.5 miles south. This was done with my Nikon Micro-Nikkor 55 f2.8 lens. This is a crop of the pier portion of the picture.
