    Hi Folks,
I'm still trying out the new CZ 24mm and went for a walk to the local quarry and shot this small tree against a dramatic sky. The detail that the lens captures is very impressive.

Details: NEX 7 with CZ 24mm.
    ISO 100, F8 @ 1/500th

    Comments and criticisms welcome!

    Good idea Freddyto,
    Here ya go.......
    Quarry tree B&W (1 of 1).

N.B. I've added a little bit of grain to it as well.
    Cheers,
    Paul

Typical, not sure which is best now, the colour version or B&W !?

Mulling it over, I think I prefer the B&W now......the grain adds to it and there's more drama in the sky.

    agree

I would second that. Looks very nice.

The only issue I had with the color version is that the dirt foreground was a bit too bright.

Other than that nice work all around.

well done mate, very nice, now in B & W, the sky is darker, it seems that it is the end of the world, like a horror movie, more drama .....

Yep, the B&W works better for me too. Man, I can't make up my mind if that sky is menacing or majestic!

  10. Stunning sky! Like the way you captured it.
