    These were taken in Centro, which is where most of Rio de Janeiro's businesses are located.

    Neither can I! Both compositions are very pleasing. The last one seems to bring the attention to the big hill at the end of the bay, whereas the first one brings the attention to the bay itself... both equally nice to me. :)

    Thanks for sharing these wonderful images of your city...

    To me, both feel like there is just a little too much empty sky. The second being slightly more pleasing due to the horizon being nearer to the top third line. But I like the full shot of the bay better as far as content goes.

    Definitely a gorgeous place you live. Cant compare to anything like that here in dreary flat Wisconsin, even on it's best days.

    I keep gravitating towards the second shot of the bay. Not sure why though.

    I prefer the second one as the sweeping curve of the bay leads your eye to the hills in the background.

    It actually looks like the crest of a wave if you back away from the photo, I think the second shot is fantastic
