Finally got me a Fuji, sorta!

Valentines day was a perfect excuse to get the lady something she'd been asking for... A polaroid! (sorta!) over 450 5 Star reviews on amazon can't be wrong!

oh, and here's my folks old Minolta XG-M. I threw on my Tokina 28mm for the shoot.

I still have a soft spot - and the camera - for my XG-M as it was my first real camera, and a present from my Dad. I occasionally use its 45mm/f2 kit lens, with some good results all things considered. Dad had one of the Polaroids for the longest time, I think maybe the SX-70, which he really liked a lot.

There is a discussion over on fredmiranda about film being on a bit of an uptick. Apparently 4.7 million Instax were sold last year. Interesting if true.

I have the Fuji Instax mini and used it a lot on trips last year. I would give the photo to the people I photographed and then photography them looking at it.

    Here in Madagascar....
    Fuji (1 of 1).

    Here in Myanmar....
    Fuji1 (1 of 1).

I bought the 'Polaroid Snap' that came out recently... It has several advantages over the Instax...
    1. It is smaller
    2. The camera saves the images to a micro sd as well as printing
    3. The time to develop and print is one minute rather than 2 minutes
    4. Print quality is visibly better

The Instax does have a selfie mirror to look into though...
