The daycare that my daughter attends went on a field trip to a local Pumpkin Patch/Farm. I tagged along and shot some photos for the lady who runs the daycare. I used my trusty NEX 7 with a Metabones speedbooster. The only lenses I took where a Yashica ML 50/1.7 (series 2) and an ML 28/2.8. Here is a small sampling. The first photo is from the 28, the others from the 50. Hope you enjoy. {} {} {} {} {}
This is a great capture, I love #2 and #3 especially. #2 for it's softness because of the flair, the rim lighting on her hair, her expression, and the pose with her hands. #3 because it's well composed and very sharp. The final photo has a very nice feel to it with some great catch lights in her eyes.
Thx dsiglin. I shot several other shoots into the sun like #2. It was very hard to capture the flare as an artistic effect that didnt obviously overpower the photo. This was one of the better ones. Of course its always a challenge to accurately capture focus when photographing children with old manual lenses.
loving number three, your reflection in the sunglasses (was it intentional?) and the focus sets it off for me.....nice one Dave
dave, it wasnt exactly intentional, but we were bumping around on a hayride behind a tractor so my options were rather limited. I knew when I shot it I would most likely be in the reflection and just went with it. Glad you like it.
