    Short? I don't call 30cm (= 300mm) on a crop sensor especially short. ;)

    That is a very cool shot ... I guess with a 300mm you can do all those huge moon shots. Would love to see some if you can click it.

    Yup... I must confess I also missed the "cm" before reading your post.:p
    I guess I'm to used to using "mm" when talking about lenses.

    Yeah, "30cm" is how Minolta labeled this particular lens, for what reason I don't know.
