We had one of those warm, windless October afternoons yesterday, so I rode up to Crater Lake with the A7 & SEL2470Z.

It's not often that the lake is so smooth.

I also was trying out the sweep panorama function on my new iPhone 6+.

It does a creditable job for a camera phone, don't you think?

There are some trips where I never once think of doing a stitch panorama. And then there's Crater Lake!

This demo comes at a rather bad time for me as I am contemplating a new smartphone. (Was trying to avoid spending top dollar on the flavor of the month. OTOH I am pretty sick and tired of having a phone camera that flat out sucks...)

I'm going to make it even harder on you, Jeff. ;) The 6+, with its optically stabilized lens, does a seriously great job with low-light shots. I don't have any to show because all of my attempts have been just boring test shots, but I've made some 1/4 sec. exposures with the phone that are pleasingly sharp (for a phone camera). My bet is that it would be just the ticket for some of your music venue images.
