PS... some of these look a bit oversharpened in this post. I think this site is applying some sharpening when I choose "Retrieve remote file and reference locally". You can see the originals in my flickr gallery...

    Thanks all!

@deadbear, I used my Orion starmax 127mm telescope on the moon shot. I used the Sigma 19mm 2.5 and I took the shot handheld, afocal through a Plossl 25mm eyepiece on the scope. I finally got the right size step ring to mount the Sigma directly to the eyepiece so it should be better (or at least easier) next time :)

Yeah it was handheld. It's pretty rare for me to use a tripod. Kind of defeats the purpose of using a small lightweight camera :)

If we are going to have a proper "sample archive" for a macro lens, we have to have at least one butterfly photo, right :)

Well, some of us can't hold still long enough to get a clear shot at 1/500 with a 15mm lens so we kinda need a tripod. Enjoy your stability while it lasts. :p

Macro lens sample archive gotta have one of everything! ;)

I hear you there. I already feel like it is really difficult to keep steady for anything around 1:2 or better.

I can't get a sample of everything on my own, but I will try to get a wide variety. How about a nice soap film?

My first attempt at this soap film stuff. Finally started getting ok results when the clock said 1:30 am :)
