Showcase Contarex Carl Zeiss Planar 50mm f2

    The first planar lens is registered by Paul Rudolph in 1896, but Zeiss used the name first time with the production Contarex Planar 50mm f2 in 1953. When I look at the 4 different versions (Contarex, Contax g, ZM, & Loxia), they resemble to each other other then the mfd's. Contarex has 30cm ~ 1 ft mfd and it is more like 20cm ~ 8 inches from the front of the lens.

    50mm & 85mm came from CLA and they look like brand new. Couple test shots, bokeh looks smoother:
