A rather miserable day at the Commando Memorial.
They are actually looking towards the highest mountain not only in Scotland but in the UK!!
The Commando Memorial is a Category A listed monument in Scotland, dedicated to the men of the original British Commando Forces raised during World War II. Situated around a mile from Spean Bridge village, it overlooks the training areas of the Commando Training Depot established in 1942 at Achnacarry Castle.

So it was a normal Scottish rainy day? ;)  Must say that the atmosphere adds to the pictures, being a commando in WW II surely wasn't fun.

    You could say that :D
A short drive up the glen and we were bathed in glorious autumn sunshine.
We do say that if you don't like our Scottish weather, just wait 10 minutes ;)
As mentioned before, i wouldn't change our climate for anything.
It gives us one of the most beautiful and diverse countries in the world.

They should turn that bench around so people could enjoy the view the memorial does, IMO.
    Thanks for sharing Mike.

To be fair, there are benches all round the monument so there will be a bench facing the same view as the memorial.
One can be seen on the left of the image.
There are great views all round in every direction - sadly not on the day we visited :D

I still would rather enjoy the view 'with' the memorial, rather than have it (them) at my back. Know what I mean?
