Hey friends have been working for several weeks with an old Voigtlander Vito BL 35mm that I bought on eBay a couple of months ago, was about 13 bucks, so I thought to get the lens so then mounted on the NEX, but I got a big surprise, I could not remove the camera lens: (.

So the camera was not working anyway, the shutter was stuck and other problems, to make the story shorter, I decided to disassemble, after a few hours of work in the evenings for two weeks , so after a long work was finally able to mount it in the nex5R.

I'm so excited because I thought early-oh shi**, I made a mistake. But after a few hours of use on my nex 7 I'm happy.

The focus ring feels very soft, high contrast and although I have only a few shots seems to be a decent lens,in f/5.6 is sharp and good contrast after the modification, wipe the glass and has been like new.

I've wondered for some time whether these lenses were worth dealing with. Seems they might be. :)

    Awesome work!
I've got an old Voigtlander Automatic R which has a fixed lens, and I would love to do the same as you have. I assume you had to customize an adapter to mount it to the NEX. If this is correct, do you have any modification tips or recommendations on which adapter to use.

    Thanks so much!

I second this! I have an old Exakta with a fixed Zeiss lens that I'd love to attach to my NEX.

Great shots, too. Looks like it was worth the effort (and the $13).

Very resourceful. I wouldn't have dared try this.

Come guy's, let's go, let's try, more than three weeks take me to fix it and it was worth? I believe yes it does, at the beginning it was hard because I did not have the tools to do it, so I a stop at Home Depot to buy some small screwdriversd set for this work.
I used the same adapter L39 and have set the lens with copper wires for now, since I didn't think it would work.

I bought some extension tubes a year ago for L39 (macro) so use the 9mm, and put under pressure and some small screws between the ring and the lens, this way get rigid and stable, for now just made somee shots at home but tomorrow I hope to do more in the afternoon, the day is rainy and windy, so I'd rather stay at home watching tv.

    That's cool Freddy!

Maybe a little more than $13 after you factor in the tools and labour costs. :)

Nice work! There are a lot of old cameras that can be had for a song, but vary in their ease of lens removal and adaptation. But if the camera is cheap enough, then it's a fun project. I have a Yashica Electro GSN lens (45mm f/1.8 I believe) that wasn't too had to remove, but still haven't fitted to an adapter yet.

Well guys thanks for all the comments, I'm a guy that I like to try and innovate, believe me I thought maybe it was a mistake destroy the camera only to remove the lens, but it turned out very well despite much work.

I have taken this lens and the Nex5R, as it is very small, can fit in my pocket of my jacket so I made some shots after work, apparently offers good clarity over what I was expect, a contrast I would say very good, but I have a problem with the infinity focus, I hope to fix soon, but for now the focus is minimum of 1 ft and the max. approach I would say about 6 feet: (.

All the photos are a bit retouched in LR, some noise reduction and color
