I recently got a bunch of scanned images that my Dad took while we were growing up. I love the memories, but my Dad, not a great photographer. Often there are out of focus subjects, blown highlights, etc. I think we take for granted being able to see our images before pressing the shutter, instantly being able to see the results and knowing if a shot needs to be retaken.
