A couple of nighttime photos in Chicago taken with my Sony f/1.8 35mm lens. It's my favorite lens--I've never had a camera and lens combo that could take such good low-light photos.

I did lighten them up in Lightroom as they started out rather dark. They don't look quite realistic but I think they look really cool.

Wicker Park neighborhood. f/3.5, 1/60, ISO 1250. With so many different light sources the white balance is a compromise.

    Rogers Park neighborhood. f/6.3, 1/30, 3200

My favorite city in the US. Thanks for this!

The best coffee shop in the city used to be in this building here. the Bank of America wanted to move in, the owner jacked up the rent until the shop simply couldn't afford it and had to close down. Sad stuff.

I used to go to that coffee shop--yes, its demise was sad.

I rather enjoy what you've done to them in PP; I enjoy that its obviously night time but that the detail lit up by the ambient lighting is very clear. I especially like the snowy shot.

    Ryan, on the go.
