cheap at twice the price...

    Well, it is one damn good looking lens. Wonder if they will except my one hundred dollar offer? It would be kinda funny to see that lens in my collection though. A $16,000 lens attached to a $700 camera via a $10 adapter...lol

    It's a nice looking lens, but for this kind of money, I'd prefer the Leica Noctilux f/0.95 - it's technically the best lens in this speed class and still has a nice color rendering.

    Man, that would look nice on my Leica III. If only there were a few less zeros in the price...

    Seriously though, who is going to pay that kind of money? If you have enough money to buy a M9, then why wouldn't you buy a brand new Noctilux for half the price? Searched around, can't find any useful info on it, except that it's performance doesn't match it's price (go figure).

    Lens collectors. There are plenty of them who would pay that price for this lens - and much more for the recently found never released Zeiss lens prototypes.
