    Hi all,

Nikon G to NEX adapters have a pin/screw to manually activate the aperture lever, crude but better than nothing.

The adapter (Fotga from ebay) I got is well made apart from the issue that the aperture adjustment screw was too long for fast FX (Nikon full frame) lenses resulting in a nasty scratch on my 50mm 1.8G.

So if you get a Nikon G adapter with aperture control and intend to use with the 50mm 1.8G or similar I suggest you unscrew the aperture adjustment screw before first mounting the lens on the adapter then carefully check if the screw is too long and touches the inner barrel. I fixed mine by filing it down.

Screw filed down and only touches aperture lever now.

Both the Nikon 35mm 1.8G and 50mm 1.8G work well now, focus adjustment is just not as silky as my 50mm 1.8 E Series.
