Carolina wren

I originally just wanted a shot or two of this bird to identify it. It turned out that it was moving up and down the tree with this insect (an ant?) in its beak. Showing off, maybe?

Not much depth of field.

I'd be happy with that focus though, as the bird is pretty much in focus in all of them.
That's one hell of a big ant, if it is an ant, which I don't think it is.

Nice capture. I have these guys in my backyard. They bounce around like a BB in a boxcar. You were fortunate for it to be still long enough for your shots.

Not much depth of field.

Fast shutters mean you rarely do, and with portraits you typically don't want it. A sharp eye preferably with a catchlight is a win.
