Took a detour from a trip to Las Vegas to visit Red Rock and Grand Canyon. Both awe inspiring places whenever you visit. Wonderful! I did the same thing many years ago after flying into LV for a bachelor party. Drove out there on my own to check it out. It was awe inspiring. It's a place that re-orients your priority compass.
All excellent in my opinion...a 'favorite' doesn't jump out at me as they're all so good...well done !
Such amazing scenes to see in that corner of the world. Well done Sent from my SM-N920P using TalkEmount app
Great pictures. The clouds are really adding a lot. I was there a few decades ago but I still remember it. "Grand" does not begin to describe it. If you have not been and have the chance, it is well worth the trip.
Thanks everyone for the kind comments. I really appreciate it. In retrospect, I really feel like I lucked out with the weather when I was at the Grand Canyon. I hit some pouring rain on the drive there and was worried that my visit might be a "wash out." It turned out to be just cloudy enough to keep things cool for hiking/walking and the resulting dramatic clouds made for some nice photographic moments.
Impressive scenery! #3 is my favorite too, last one seems a bit too "HDRish" but I'm sure its just me
Thanks, Nick. And I appreciate your thoughts on the processing in the last image. I tried not to go too far but wanted to bring out some of the details. Still, I wondered if some might think it was pushed a little too much.
great pics larry! like the way you processed 'em as well... those storm clouds worked out great, i've shot the grand canyon twice, once at mostly sunny and once at mostly flat gray clouds, neither of which were any good.
Thanks very much, Dan. Yeah -- when you are on vacation you pretty much have to go with whatever you are given in terms of weather and light. A little help from mother nature can go a long way .
