Streaking contrails were approaching very high overhead while I was waiting to shoot the 05/22/15 crescent moon late yesterday. It was so high I actually couldn't see the plane with the naked eye, was set up for 600mm, and decided to give it a try.
Turns out it appears to be a red passenger plane...guessing it was up at a cruising altitude of 5-6 miles, probably traveling 500 mph give or take.
I continue to be amazed at how well the legacy Canon lenses do on the NEX-7, and in this case with a 2x Extender in the mix to boot.
    Shooting config was 600mm, ISO200, Manual Mode, F8, 1/250
