Canon FD 35mm f2 vs Minolta MC W.Rokkor-HH 35mm f1.8

    I'm not a pixel peeper but have the Canon 'new' FD 35/2.0 version and think it's fantastic.
    Don't know about that S.S.C. variant but for me, I'd still go Canon...what's the worse thing that can happen?

    I am a pixel-peeper and I agree, the Canon lens pictured is fantastic! I'm sorry to say that I have no personal experience with the Minolta MC 35/1.8, it seems to be better in terms of sharpness than the MD 35/1.8 versions, which don't come close to the Canon.

    I have two versions of the canon, the ssc and the chrome nose. I actually like the Nikkor 35 1.4 non AI better.
