For those of you living in the parts of the U.S. highlighted in this weather map, you may be able to capture some good night-time sky events tonight. I was planning on staying up and giving it a go, but the weather gods have seen fit to smite us with crappy weather. Here's hoping some of the rest of you have better luck. Post your images here if you get some good ones.

That's not the info I've got, jade_monkey07. According to several sources, including NASA, the shower is going to happen between 06:00 and 08:00 UTC on Saturday morning. So that's between 02:00 and 04:00 EDT and 11:00 and 01:00 PDT. If you wait until Sat. night, you'll miss it.

Well here is the only shot I will have tonight. It was before the meteor shower. My tripod broke as I was changing position. Looks like no fun for me tonight.

I tried, but only saw 3, and was able to capture 0. Word of mouth the next day said the best time was actually midnight to 2:00 am. Next time I'll get out early, although I doubt I'll see our sky so uncommonly clear like that any time soon. Look for my pics of the Milky Way band in another thread. It was even easily visible with the naked eye.
