I'd hang that on a wall! Leaves some abstract paintings for dead... :)

Thank you for your comment. I was trying out an inexpensive Agfa circular polarizer on the NEX and thought the bubble and reddish rock looked interesting.

The reddish stone really accentuates the entire image. Nice composition

I was actually wondering what made it work. Now that you've mentioned it, if the reddish stone was the same colour as the rest, the composition wouldn't have worked as well. There's also a bit of 'blue-ish' water reflection right below the red stone that's creating something good.

Funny how the little things all add up to hold one's interest. I can stare at that image for quite a while and follow shapes and colours where my eye leads me to. Maybe it's just me... I'm wired like that. :)

I think being wired differently is what makes some photographers stand out, as do your photos. Thanks for taking a look.

    Taking another look...

    Rembrant-esque.

I couldn't put a finger to it, and then it occurred to me why your 'Bubble on the River' photo intrigues me... it has the same colour palette and an uncanny emotive "pull" of a Rembrandt!

I see what you mean. An interesting comparison indeed and one I would not have thought of.

    Thanks again.

Nice shot lapdog, I'd certainly hang that one on the wall.

I'm not sure which is more ironic- that the two images are so similar of that Dioptrick noticed/remembered! :D
