I have a Cooper's Hawk in the morning, a bald eagle all day, and a great horned owl in the evenings living in my backyard trees. Every morning that hawk is sitting in the tree along my fence just waiting to pick off my songbirds. He knows our routine though. As soon as he hears my dog get up, he knows she's about to be let outside and flies away.

Sounds like a great situation you have there...wouldn't trade my natural backyard and back woods for anything either.
Being shut in from this heat wave of 99* - 101* temps with daily thunderstorms driving the heat index up to 105*-ish, I'm lucky to have the mix come through the back yard that I do...probably boring to all of you but it keeps me busy, LOL

Ugh...It's much cooler here. ;) But yes, I wouldn't trade my woods for anything either. I love it!
