Borrowed a friends Nikon 200mm f/2 AI-S...

    Borrowed a friend's Nikon 200mm f/2 AI-S...

    ...and put it o my A7.

    WOW. What a lens!

    It's cold and I don't have much free time, so I went over to a cemetery a couple blocks away. Yeah, kind of weird, but there wasn't much else to do and I can't just keep the lens forever. Though I might need to look into average Ebay prices...

    There's some CA at f/2, but its less than I'd have expected from a lens of its age (late 1980's from the serial number) and easily correctable.

    I've never imagined that you could get subject isolation like this on an entire car before!

    What ever you do don't try a Sony Ziess 135mm 1.8. It has the same mojo. Plus you get full speed AF with the LEA4.

    That's a lens that for a couple years before the A7 made me consider getting an Alpha DSLR. That temptation is prescient.

    I know what you mean. I bougt a 135 1.8 for my A7r and ended up with an a99 to get IBIS.......
