    Fantastic shots roundball! And another FD! :) I didn't even know that Canon made a 200mm macro (or were you using tubes?)

    Yes, Canon FDn 200/4.0 Macro Lens.
    Helicoid focusing for very fine tuning of focus.
    An outstanding lens...serves as a 200mm tele as well of course.

    Noticed that as well...they get in some interesting positions and hold very still...the only movement coming from any breeze that might move their perch around. This little Lotus Blossom pond setting at the Arboretum had a dozen blue ones flitting around yesterday.

    Also even if you scare them away, they usually return to the same spot after a while. So one would only have to wait a few minutes, pre- focus on the same spot and they'll be back ;)
